Detecting Grow Houses With Thermal Imaging
One of the more interesting ways law enforcement officials utilize thermal imaging cameras is to investigate possible drug grow houses. Indoor growing operations tend to produce an excess amount of heat which is easily detectable by an infrared camera. A handheld device could be used from a vehicle in the street in front of your house or it could actually be attached to the bottom of a helicopter capturing images from above. Such products have enhanced the capabilities of policeman and help promote safety in any neighborhood.
